THERE’S HOPE FOR TODAY (A POEM)

THERE’S HOPE FOR TODAY (A POEM) Imagine the flower that blooms for a day, Knowing that it will wither at night. Imagine the mosquito that goes out for the day… Knowing that in quest for blood, danger awaits it at night. Imagine ants that gather their food during the day Knowing that disaster of flood may strike at night. Indeed, there’s hope for today. Imagine the birds of the air that flies all day Forget about tomorrow, but rest all through the night. Imagine the rooster that crows during the day Not committing to heart what becomes of it tonight. Imagine you going out all day Not been perturbed of your safety back at night. Indeed, there’s hope for today. Imagine your heart for God everyday Your tomorrow will be secured just as your night. Imagine your thoughts for good all day Your sleep will be sweet at night Imagine your love for neighbors everyday Like the little children, anxiety will flee at night. Indeed there’s hope for today. Let’s begin our tomorrow today Indeed, there’s hope for today. -Enwemuche Maxwell O. ©26-04-2013 23598DE2 @maxxydapoet
